This was the second and last time I had tried sx-70 manipulations before they announced the newer versions of this film won't be able to be manipulated anymore. For this one I used a blow dryer to heat it up and a knitting needle to smudge the chemicals.
do you know when it was the polaroid announced that it is no longer able to be manipulated? i'm searching for old time zero film and trying to figure out just how old it needs to be.
i know a website that hasnt run out of sx70 yet, if you check polaroids website, they describe a hack for sx-70 cameras (adding a filter or two) so that the camera wont blow out modern film.
Yeah I know unsaleable.com is still selling some, but at a high price but I've decided for now that I'm going to just stay with the 100 I bought and not get anymore.
I've seen that mod and I'm actually lookin forward to experimenting with it as I think the modern 600 film is under-rated sometimes so it will be interesting to push it to a new level.
ack, that is expensive. my personal favorite is ecamerafilms.com theyre not out yet, but i dont how shipping will be for you. i dont have a folding sx-70, i have the clunky onestep, so i dont know if i'll be able to pull off the mod. also, ecamerafilms sells expired film on clearance for $5 a pack, thats how i get lots of 600 film
